Article 1
The FABRIQUE DU CINÉMA AWARDS will be held on 14 DECEMBER 2019.


Article 2

Only films that meet the following requirements may be chosen for an invitation at the Official Selection:

1.     Films that have been produced after 2017;

2.     If participating in the "short film" category, films must not exceed 40 minutes in length, including credits. We accept short films from all over the world.

3.     If participating in the "feature film" category, your film must be at least 70 minutes long. We accept movies from all over the world.

4.     If participating in the "documentary film” your film must be at least 50 minutes long. We accept movies from all over the world.

5.     If participating in the “web series" categories, films can be of any length. We accept web series from all over the world.

6.     If participating in the "screenplay" category, the screenplay must be under 25 pages.  Only pdf files are accepted. We accept screenplays from all over the world, written in English or Italian language.

7.  Any genre is accepted. Any work that was shown on-line is also accepted. 

 

 

Article 3

Only screenplays that meet the following requirements may be chosen for the special award:

  1. Screenplays under 25 pages written in English or Italian;

  2. The only accepted format is pdf;

  3. Only original ideas are accepted. Submitting the screenplay to this contest, the submitter is declaring to be the only owner of the rights of the submitted screenplay;

  4. Any kind of genre is accepted;

  5. Only 5 screenplays per screenwriter are accepted.

 


Article 4
Once a film has been selected it cannot be withdrawn from the Festival programme during the event.


Article 5
All films must be presented in their original language, with English subtitles (films in Italian or English don't need english subtitles).

By "original language" is meant the language in which a film is or will be exhibited in its country of origin.
It is to our team to decide whether or not a film that does not exactly meet these criteria may participate in the Festival.
All subtitling expenses are to be covered by the film's producer. 


Article 6
Our team designates the members of the Jury.
Decisions will be reached by an absolute majority of votes. 
No person having taken part in the production or exploitation of a film in competition may be on the Jury.


Article 7a — FEATURES in COMPETITION

Only 2 feature films per director are accepted.


The Juries for the feature films in competition are obligated to award:

  • Best International Feature Film;

  • Best Italian Innovative and Experimental Feature Film;

  • Best Italian Debut Feature Film;

  • Best Italian Actress;

  • Best Italian Actor;

  • Best Music Theme.

 


Article 7b — SHORT FILMS in COMPETITION

Only 2 short films per director are accepted.
The Jury for the short films in competition is obligated to award:

  • Best Foreign Short Film (1000.00 euros);

  • Best Italian Short Film (1000.00 euros).

 

 

Article 7c — DOCUMENTARIES in COMPETITION

Only 2 documentaries per director are accepted.
The Jury for the documentaries in competition is obligated to award:

  • Best International Documentary.
    *for this category, films from all over the world are accepted, including Italy.

 

 

Article 7d — WEB SERIES in COMPETITION

Only 2 web series per director are accepted.
The Jury for the web series in competition is obligated to award:

  • Best International Web Series                                                                                                                                                                                        *for this category, films from all over the world are accepted, including Italy.

 

 

Article 7e — SHORT FILM SCREENPLAYS in COMPETITION

Only 5 screenplays per director are accepted.
The Jury for the short film screenplays in competition is obligated to award:

  • Best Short Film Screenplay 

      *for this category, screenplays from all over the world are accepted, including Italy.

 

Article 8 — DEADLINES

Earlybird deadline: July 15th 2019 (10 euros)

Late deadline: November 15th 2019 (15 euros)


 

Article 9
Complete documentation for each selected film is to be made available to our team when required.

 


Article 10
FABRIQUE DU CINÉMA AWARDS accepts submissions through the platform FILMFREEWAY only. We will not accept and we will not be responsible for any package or any other material sent to our offices.



Article 11
The attorney of FABRIQUE DU CINÉMA AWARDS in Rome has the power to settle all cases not covered by the present rules and regulations.


Article 12
Participation in the Fabrique du Cinéma Awards implies acceptance of all the aforementioned regulations and respect of preselection conditions.

The organizers are free to invite films, short films, screenplays and web series to the official competition. 


These rules apply to all sections of the Official Selection.
