Alessandro Gassmann is the new President of Fabrique du Cinéma Awards 2021!
Fabrique du Cinéma Awards are back with a new and exciting edition! ALESSANDRO GASSMANN is the new President of the jury in the competition that has rewarded the creativity of young filmmakers around the world since 2014.
7th edition - THE JURY
The jury of Fabrique du Cinéma Awards has always been led by important personalities of the national and international film industry, like the famous actor Willem Dafoe, the Academy Awards winner director Paul Haggis, the actor and director Matt Dillon, the italian actress Margherita Buy, the talented young italian directors Fabio e Damiano D'Innocenzo. This year, Alessandro Gassmann will be the new president of the jury, with the actress Maya Sansa, the journalist Andrea Purgatori and the writer Enrico Pandiani.
Alessandro Gassmann started his career in Di padre in figlio, written and directed by his father Vittorio Gassmann. In 2008 he won the David di Donatello Award for the film Caos Calmo directed by Nanni Moretti. Since 2012 he has played different roles in films like Viva l’Italia, Gli ultimi saranno i primi, Beata ignoranza, Non ci resta che il crimine e Ritorno al crimine directed by Massimiliano Bruno. Recently, he has presented his third film as a director, Il silenzio grande, at the Mostra d’arte cinematografica di Venezia.
With Gassmann, Maya Sansa will be the sponsor of Fabrique du Cinéma Awards 2021. In 2004 she won the Nastro d’Argento award for the best actress for La meglio gioventù directed by Marco Tulio Giordana. In 2013 she won the David di Donatello Award for the best supporting actress for Bella Addormentata directed by Marco Bellocchio. In 2015 she starred in the second season of In Treatment, tv series directed by Saverio Costanzo with Sergio Castellitto. This year she plays in Il paradiso del pavone, directed by Laura Bispuri and presented at the Mostra d’arte cinematografica di Venezia.
